The state of digital education [infographic]

As someone currently enrolled in a distance learning master’s program, I found this infographic via eCampus News on the benefits of digital education interesting.  In the instructional design class I just finished this semester, we talked a lot about how to design an online curriculum and the different tools required from face-to-face learning.  Taking online classes took a little while for me to get used to.  There are pros and cons to everything, but the convenience of digital education trumps the cons.

On another note, it’s very sad to realize that one-third of students are failing out of high school, but perhaps personalized digital education can help both reduce the dropout rates, while encouraging others to go back and complete their high school (or college) degrees.
